1 John 4:11-12
11 “Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another.
12 No man hath seen God at any time. If we love one another, God dwelleth in us, and his love is perfected in us”.
Often times those in the world ask Christians this: if God is such a loving God why bad things happen?” I thought of how angry some people get towards God because of this and I just thought to myself “God if they only knew! If only people could experience your love, then they could be saved! I paused and remembered some important things.
Firstly, God knew the solution to this world’s problems way before it even existed, he too longed for us, his creation to experience the fullness of his love. So, what did he do? He thought it not robbery for us to be equal with Him, however, the only way this could happen is through his son Jesus Christ. Jesus was the propitiation for our sins, now we can live through him. But that is not all, God in all his power and glory wanted to be made real to us. Many accept and believe that Jesus is the word made flesh, but we tend to skip over the fact that it didn’t end with him. We too are the living, breathing expression of all that God is. God is love, and he has chosen us to express it, that all may know and experience all of who God is. Therefore, the people in your sphere of influence have been purposefully placed there by God, so that you his son can manifest your true nature. Light shines brightest in the darkness, when others attack you, humiliate you or offend you must remain humble, you must show mercy.
Because love is not proud nor is it easily provoked, it is long-suffering and unconditional meaning it shouldn’t only apply to those situations that are convenient to do so. If we proclaim to be the Sons of God then we must walk like it, it has to be more than words, but it needs to be manifested in our character, our thoughts and actions. We must always remember that we are an expression of all that God is, so if we want the world to experience the love of our awesome father, JUST BE!; for love is who you are.
