CHALLENGE GUIDELINES

The Father said to me, if you spend time in communion with me, I will bless you. For the next 14 days give God at least an hour a day of undisturbed prayer, worship and fellowship (no excuses).

Leave the things that concern you in God’s hands. Trust Him with them.Ask Him only for the things that He wants you to have right now.Ask Him to reveal those things to you in His timing.Spend most of your fellowship blessing God and praying for others. However, the things that concern you, leave them in God’s hands.Journal your experiences, and impressions.Bonus + Skip a meal a day as a fast to the Lord, use that time as your hour to pray in earnest to the Lord.

Weary the King

But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking. Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him. - Matt 6:7-8

It is so important that we understand that if we are holy, God obligates Himself to our prayers. He listens to them, and when they are according to His will, He will perform them. God hears us as soon as we begin praying. In fact, He knows what is on our heart before we ever ask anything from Him. However, I am going to give you a scripture that might seem contradictory but it is not.

Luke 18:1-8 And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint; Saying, There was in a city a judge, which feared not God, neither regarded man: And there was a widow in that city; and she came unto him, saying, Avenge me of mine adversary. And he would not for a while: but afterward he said within himself, Though I fear not God, nor regard man; Yet because this widow troubleth me, I will avenge her, lest by her continual coming she weary me. And the Lord said, Hear what the unjust judge saith. And shall not God avenge his own elect, which cry day and night unto him, though he bear long with them? I tell you that he will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth?

Even as the king heard the first request of the woman, so does God hear you the first time you pray. However, we must understand that our prayers should not only be requests, but they should seek to establish the will of God in the earth. "Thy Kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven." So what is His will? Do you know it? Have you asked Him? Have you listened for a response? Remember, God is not mute that He cannot speak, but He loves to commune with His children. So seek His will, and pray that which is revealed; and it is by your prayers that God's will will be established in the earth.
