Prayer is not about length - prayer is more about sincerity than length. Remember your much prayer does not earn mercy. The only way your prayer will be effective is if it comes from the depths of your heart in all sincerity. Without sincerity, the Holy Spirit will not lead, hear or obligate Himself to you. Ensure that you can spend quality time where He can take over and have His way, without feeling like you are rushing Him
Once you’ve done that, find a secret place. Whether it be your closet, basement, garden or bathroom - let it be free from noise and distractions. Do not be too comfortable. Ensure you are in a posture that allows focus and alertness. Do not do anything that will stimulate falling asleep or distractions.
