This particular Sunrise is one that I have been waiting to write for the longest. It is called The Heavens Do Rule, a phrase taken from the mouth of the watchers when the curse of wildness was given to Nebuchadnezzar.
This matter is by the decree of the watchers, and the demand by the word of the holy ones: to the intent that the living may know that the most High ruleth in the kingdom of men, and giveth it to whomsoever he will, and setteth up over it the basest of men. - Dan 4:17
This is a reality that many even in the Body of Christ do not comprehend, however its evidence covers the scriptures! The heavens rule in the Kingdoms of men. There is nothing that happens on this earth unless the heavens determine it.
Consider this particular scripture.
Then said he unto me, Fear not, Daniel: for from the first day that thou didst set thine heart to understand, and to chasten thyself before thy God, thy words were heard, and I am come for thy words. But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me one and twenty days: but, lo, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me; and I remained there with the kings of Persia.
The word prince here refers to a principality, or an governing (fallen) angel. In this situation, the governing angel over Persia began to fight the angel of God as he was bringing a message to Daniel. However, the governing Angel of Israel (Michael) assisted with the fight and freed him, that he could deliver the message.
Note here that the world was ruled then by the Medes and Persians. King Cyrus was the Persian King in authority at the time. However, there was a spiritual power that was above him - the principality of Persia. Take note of what is said of Gabriel in the latter parts of the verse.
Then said he, Knowest thou wherefore I come unto thee? and now will I return to fight with the prince of Persia: and when I am gone forth, lo, the prince of Grecia shall come. But I will shew thee that which is noted in the scripture of truth: and there is none that holdeth with me in these things, but Michael your prince.
Listen to Gabriel. Gabriel made note that after he delivered the message to Daniel, he was going to return to God and would have to fight with the Principality of Persia once again to reach to God. However, there will be another who will join the war, the principality of Grecia.
Oh, this is so interesting!
If you are a scholar of Bible Prophecy, you would know about the Great Image that is in the 2nd Chapter of Daniel. These outline the Kingdoms that would rule the earth. The first Kingdom to rule was Babylon, then the Medes and Persians, then the Grecians. However, at the chapter above, the Grecians had not yet come to power. This is why the principality of Grecia was going to join the war in the heavenlies - it was his attempt to take the Kingdom of the Medes and Persians - He succeeded.
These wars in the heavens then determined what would happen on the earth. The Prince of Persia lost to the Prince of Grecia, and thus, in the natural, the Kingdom of the Medes and Persians was passed to Greece. I find this so interesting because, in the natural, men and kings were at war! Fighting for the throne. However, they simply manifest what has been determined in the heavens.
The angels have power to stir up situations that cause things to happen in the earth. Paul prayed concerning an angel of the devil that would ensure that he would always be buffeted no matter where he would go (2 Cor 12:7). However, how was this buffeting achieved? The angel would stir up the hearts of the evil to persecute Paul wherever he went, however Paul recognised that it was not the work of men, however it was the work of a spiritual being.
Likewise, when the fate of Job was being discussed in the heavenlies, God asked the devil why he hadn't considered Job, but the devil's response was that Job had a hedge of protection around him. That was a hedge of angels, which reflected in the natural as a peaceful and wealthy life. However, when God took that hedge down, the devil attacked Job and all his attacks manifested in natural means.
Are you beginning to see what I am saying? It is the heavens that rule in the Kingdoms of Men. Nothing can happen unless it is approved by God to happen. God will use the evil intent of principalities and powers to perform his will.
So then, with all this knowledge, was slavery performed by a race, or principalities? This is a place that many will not allow themselves to go. The truth is, we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
The Princes of Persia and Grecia were some of those rulers of darkness. All evil is performed by those rulers of darkness. That is why carnal means for dealing with issues of sin will never work. A march/movement will not deal with a principality. However, God can change the hearts of men.
And to make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ: To the intent that now unto the principalities and powers in heavenly places might be known by the church the manifold wisdom of God,
God is proving to principalities and powers in heavenly places His wisdom: that they have sought to cripple mankind and possessed them with spirits. However, through the power of the Holy Spirit, God has made Himself new creatures. These creatures are His children, and have been seated above all these principalities (at the right hand of God). They have been given authority through prayer to change to doings of these principalities according to the will of God. The Church will walk holy in a dark world, which these evil principalites govern and yet remain unspotted by their power.
Oh, the wisdom of God!
Saints, let us open our eyes. We are fighting a spiritual war. The events that take place and took place were determined by the heavens. Let us not be bitter, pointing the finger at men. However, let us take all things to God in prayer.
Even as situations happen in our own countries today, remember that there is a principality ruling your nation too. Though not all are fallen, where there is evil in the land, there is evil activity. Take matters of your country to God in prayer, and He can effect change by the power of His hand.
