This morning I was reflecting on bible prophecy messages that I have been hearing. The Lord reminded me of what He said to one of my leaders in church: it was during the impending Y2K, at that time there was much anxiety because many believed that the world would end. The Lord said, "Tell my people not to worry about Y2K, but to prepare themselves for what I am about to bring upon the Earth."
Luke 21:26 KJV
Men's hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken.
The events that will come upon the Earth will drive fear into the hearts of men. But we are not mere men. We are the sons of the God who has ordered this destruction, and He knows how to preserve His own. Just as He preserved Israel in Egypt and in Babylon during captivity- God will preserve those who belong to Him. But in order to be preserved, we must ensure that we are currently walking as obedient sons, sensitive to the voice of our Father, exercising patience in trials, and detached from the world.
Believe it or not, this world is on a course to end. And there is no pause or stop button, no rewind or escape mode. It will surely pass away as the scriptures have declared.
God had reminded us in his word that this race is not for the swift nor the battle for the strong - but for those that endure to the end. Those are the ones that will be saved.
We all have a different end, some of us will live to see the Antichrist and others will die before. However God decides to take us, we must be ready. Our testimony must be that we have kept the faith, that we have overcome this world and that we endured hard trials as a good soldier.
