Political Wars - An Antichrist Spirit

The Lord has spoken to me an issue that must be addressed if the Body of Christ is going to come to godliness. I am going to give it to you the way God gave it to me.

I want to take you all the way back to Christ during His tenure here on earth. He would often say to the people, "Do what the Pharisees say, but do not do what they do." There is an implication here that though the Pharisees were doing things that were not right, they however, were doing some good things. In this case they were saying the right things.

However, what if the people said, "As long as the Pharisees are doing some good things we will listen and put all our trust in them. It doesn't matter that they are doing wrong, as long as they keep doing the good they are doing." Do you think this is the mind of Christ? Well, we know certainly that it is not, because Jesus confronted it as a problem. He taught that our actions should match up with the righteousness we speak.

I want to take this even further by looking into Bible Prophecy. In the last days (which are now) the antichrist will arise and sit in the seat in the holy temple in Jerusalem. However, how will he get there? He will make a peace treaty with Israel, and they will accept him even as their Messiah. The same that rejected Christ, the true Messiah, will accept the antichrist as such. Why would they do such a thing?

Well first of all, the antichrist will put on an act, that would make it seem that he has the best interests of Israel at heart. He will flatter them with words, and seem to be supportive of their endeavours. He will bring peace to Israel, and give them the policies they desire. However, does all this blind them from the fact that the antichrist is not a Jew. He will evidently not worship their God, and as a Gentile, will not participate in the sanctifications and sacrifices they think necessary to please their God. However, they will look pass all the things that are unrighteous about him, so that they can get what they want.

This is the same mentality in the Church today.

Ye have wearied the Lord with your words. Yet ye say, Wherein have we wearied him? When ye say, Every one that doeth evil is good in the sight of the Lord, and he delighteth in them; or, Where is the God of judgment? - Malachi 2:17

Often when the church begins to deal in politics they make the individual of the party they prefer, their God. Why would I say that? Well, because all of their trust and hopes for things to change suddenly fall in the hands of the candidate. Many times I have seen individuals become desensitised to the obvious evil in the people of their party, simply because their party either upholds certain policies or will pass them.

For example, we will get extremely excited because a party is against abortion, and support the party for the policy sake. However, if you truly discern the individuals who are passing this policy, it is not farfetched to believe that they would seek an abortion if a "need" arises.

When the church gets involved in politics, it seems to me that they lose all their spiritual discernment. They can no longer see that the members of our parties are not saved. We agree with all their reasoning, as if it came from the mind of God.

Though God can appoint a leader, it doesn't mean God is pleased with them. They will however fulfil the purpose that God appointed them.

For the scripture saith unto Pharaoh, Even for this same purpose have I raised thee up, that I might shew my power in thee, and that my name might be declared throughout all the earth. - Rom 9:17

The Body of Christ, is filled with ambassadors for Christ and His policies. We should be focusing on the things that He has said? The church should be those who reprove sin, as opposed to lessening the evil in it. Let us not be as Israel has been and will be, calling evil righteous and righteousness evil.

Though I may vote for a party, the Holy Spirit should bear witness in me concerning the ways of that party that is not like God.

For example, a President may pass a bill which prevents abortions, but am I going to ignore the fact that he is racist, and belittles women, and mocks the disabled? Or what if a candidate upholds equality but promotes homosexuality? I should not ignore the facts that are right before my face. I in fact should be very mindful of the fact that he/she needs the Holy Spirit, and minister the truth accordingly. I should boldly say those negatives even as I say the positives. Why, because all human governments are fallible. There will always be something that is ungodly, because satan is the god of this world.

Awake oh Church, and stop fighting concerning these issues. Speak the righteousness of God, and speak the truth to our Presidents, Kings, Senators, and Politicians. The truth of God which says, "Even if you pass every bill I want you to, you will not make it to the heaven unless you are born again and walking in a holy life".

Be righteous and mindful church! Righteousness, causes me to listen to what others are saying, and consider how they are feeling. It allows me to become touched with their infirmity. If we never listen to one another how can we comfort one another. When we consider how a person feels, then we will stop giving carnal reasons for why they shouldn't feel that way.

If an individual feels unsafe in their own country, because of racism. Why would I respond to that and say that there is racism everywhere, or say that racism isn't doesn't only happen to that individuals color of skin? Does that negate the fact that the person feels uncomfortable? Have I lost all compassion for people's emotions?

Or what about illegal immigrants? Should we be touched with the feeling of their infirmity, even as God was, when He saved us? Or should we be caught up only in the principle of a thing, and not consider the pain that these families may endure. Do righteous judgment oh Church!

It is unrighteous of me to use the fact that others are hurting to seek to overshadow the fact that someone right before me is hurting. Minister the gospel to that one, and cause them to know that God is with them, and is able to provide and save.

Our rest is not found in a policies, but in Jesus Christ - who will come and set up His Kingdom here on earth, a just Kingdom, and He shall reign forever and ever, Amen.
