Open Heaven - My beloved Son

"And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him: And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased." Matthew 3:16‭-‬17

In this scripture it was made obvious that God approved Jesus' life, saying “This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.”. This was a commendation from God regarding His son Jesus, he was bragging about him. He trusted that Jesus would always remain holy before him no matter what happened. He knew Jesus would stay in constant fellowship with him. Let's not forget that Jesus was did not have any spiritual advantage over us. Even as He had the Spirit, so do we. Jesus simply chose to obey God in all things, because that was His preference. This was something God cherished! He relished in the fact that he saw nothing but Himself in Jesus. This is why he could say he was well pleased in Him (which also connotes from within).

Is God well pleased with you?
