"And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him: And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased." Matthew 3:16-17 KJV
This must have been a magical moment for Jesus. This moment was made known to John prior, that this event would be his marker for the son of God. Jesus is acknowledged by God as His Son who pleases Him. In other records of scripture, it adds that we should take heed to Jesus' teachings: "this is my beloved Son: hear him." (Luke 9:35).
The heavens opened up and the Father approved Jesus' life. He knew that He could trust Jesus with the mission. Jesus could be trusted with the trials attached to his life; and before they even manifested, the Father boasted of His Son.
With this open heaven comes a declaration that you are His beloved. At salvation, the heavens opened up and declared you as the Son of the living God. You felt heaven on the inside of you. What an extraordinary moment. A magical experience it was. The Father placed His seal on you and all of heaven rejoiced.
As heaven rejoiced, principalities and powers looked on. They see a Son of God, a righteous seed; and you intrigue them.
