Forgiveness - Thought War Series

Growing up I never realized how much God loved me or how much he was mindful of me. I only saw my various trials as apart of life. It wasn’t until I got older that I began to understand how much God ordained the tests I went through. When I was 13, I remembered after Youth Camp one summer coming face to face with the fact that I was molested and fatherless. Even though this took me to a place of depression, at the age of 13, I had a deep sense of purpose because I knew that one day God was going to use this experience for his Glory. This mindset started me on my journey to seek God even the more.

So yes, there were negative mindsets formed in me by those experiences, but sometimes there are positive mindsets formed through those same negative experiences, and both will cause us to pursue God! You must first decide to view the situations you went through, through God's eyes; which is to see them as worthy of your forgiveness.

Let us examine our lives today to see what mindsets were formed in us and make a decision to allow the mind of Christ towards those experiences so you can see them differently. Romans 8:28 says - And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to His purpose. So now is the time to let go of those negative mindsets and embrace who God says you are and can be in Him.
