Christ in me - Self-Denial

_Luke 9:23 Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me._

As sons of God, we need to understand that in order to obey God it is going to require self-denial. Self-denial is the only way the Holy Ghost is going to operate through us.

In yesterday’s sunrise, we briefly described what happens when we got saved; Jesus is living in us (i.e. he’s physically present in us). This is what most of us fail to see, and it is why Christ came to live in us in the first place; so that principalities and power may see the manifold wisdom of God by the Church (Born again believers).

_Ephesians 3:9-12_

_9 And to make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ:_

_10 To the intent that now unto the principalities and powers in heavenly places might be known by the church the manifold wisdom of God,_

_11 According to the eternal purpose which he purposed in Christ Jesus our Lord:_

_12 In whom we have boldness and access with confidence by the faith of him._

When we were without the Holy Ghost, principalities and powers were accustomed to us being offended at every thing, disobedient to God, and filled with pride. They are not familiar with someone loving an enemy who seeks to destroy them, or walking in true peace when things are going all wrong. That’s why it’s going to take Jesus in us to please the Father. Seeing that Jesus is in us we can please the Father. As long as we deny-self the glorious life of Christ will shine through us.
