"But be ye doers of the word and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves" - James 1:22
Have you ever heard a sermon being preached and thought to yourself
"Okay I hear it, but I don't see myself doing what this tells me to do"
Or
"This sounds so good, I love it"
but not really see it at work in your own life?
I know I have been here. I believed, like many Christians today, that Jesus was a doer and a manifestation of the word, but the same wasn't true for me.
However, that is not what God intended for His children. God wants His children to know that if you are saved/born again, you have the power to be a doer of the word the same way Jesus was.
"But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit" - 1 Corinthians 6:17,
If you are joined to the Lord, you are one with Jesus and His spirit that allows us to NATURALLY be the manifestation of the word of the Lord!
"To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation." - 2 Corinthians 5:19
It was God that was in Christ doing the reconciling, so if God is in you , He is not in there to just sit and hear his own word, but He is there to reconcile souls to Himself"
"O love the Lord , all ye his saints: for the Lord preserveth the faithful, and plentifully rewardeth the proud doer. - Psalms 31:23
