A Gift to the World Series – The Gift is in the Flesh

Surely it has been an awesome experience, learning of the many gifts that the Lord has given to us. Primarily, He has given us Jesus Christ – a gift that the Lord is showing us has many dimensions. We saw Him in the manger, we have seen Him on the cross, and we will continue to see Him in our flesh! This is the mystery of God – Christ in you, the hope of glory.

Truly Jesus was the ultimate sacrifice on the cross which gave us access to the Father. His death on the cross enabled the whole world to have the opportunity to repent. However, the reward for true repentance is the gift of the Holy Ghost.

One thing that we must do to connect the dots, is accepting the fact that if Jesus is in our bodies, the body then belongs to Him! It is His temple or His tabernacle. He has become Emmanuel once more by being in us. However, God has placed our souls in His Spirit so that we can see the life that Jesus is living through our flesh as we submit completely to Him, by obeying His Words at all times.

The scripture below points us to our responsibility as Sons of God who know and believe what it means to be The Temple of Christ and to have one life- His life.

Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ. For in him dwelleth all the fullness of the Godhead bodily. – Col 2:8-9

Christ = Fullness of God in a body

This is where the connection of the dots is important. This same Christ is in us. He is the fullness of God in our bodies. Our souls, are actually hidden in the Spirit of the Lord that resides in us. It is the Spirit of the Lord that has flooded our flesh. This shows and proves that the flesh indeed belongs to God, because it is for His use.

Jesus Christ is the Gift of God that has been given to the Church, that He may save those who believe by His life expressed through them. Today, meditate on the fact that Christ is in you and ensure that He has free access to every part of His temple - mind, heart, physical body and more.
