There is a reality that the sons of God must understand because it is the basis of their whole salvation.
So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God. But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his. (Romans 8:8-9)
The sons of God are not in the flesh (body) but in the Spirit! What does this mean? Well, it is pretty simple. The scripture here is speaking to the physical positioning of your soul. For those that do not have the Spirit of God, their soul is in their bodies, and the soul is their body's the source of life. However if you have the Holy Spirit, the soul is not directly touching the body - it is inside of the Holy Spirit. It is the Holy Spirit that touches the flesh.
This is such a powerful reality. Our souls are not in our bodies but in the Holy Spirit. To achieve this, God did operation faster than we could even blink. In order for us to be filled with the Holy Spirit our souls had to first be taken out of the flesh by the putting off of the old man (your body) (Rom 6:6, Col 2:11). When your soul is taken out of the body, the body and soul dies (Jam 2:26). This is a literal death, a graveyard death.
What is my point here? My point is, the person that carried race literally died at this point. Even as a dead man has no race, but their soul is eternally with the Lord or in darkness, even so we have died and left the flesh behind.
However the next step is what is most important. After our souls were removed from the flesh, God brought the soul alive by placing it inside of the Holy Ghost. This is the new creature 2 Cor 5:17 speaks about. It is the soul in Christ, that has created a new creature. Note the wording the scripture uses - creature. It is interesting to note that the human race refers to the human type of creature, however the sons of God are another creature altogether. Should we then be identifying with the differences in the flesh? Let us continue the operation.
The soul is placed in the Holy Spirit, and creates a new creature. The next step is, our bodies (which were dead at this point) were then circumcised with a circumcision by the Spirit, which removes sin from the flesh. The Holy Ghost (which has your soul hidden in it) then enters your body and brings it alive, by its presence. This is what it means to have the Holy Spirit. It means the Holy Spirit is in your body and your soul is in the Holy Spirit.
Our souls being in the Holy Spirit has made us another type of creature. We are neither black, white, asian, or of any nationality. Now are we the sons of God. We have already departed this world. Our souls dwell in an omnipresent Spirit, which allows us to be in this world, while being in heaven at the same time.
Wherefore if ye be dead with Christ from the rudiments of the world, why, as though living in the world, are ye subject to ordinances, - Col 2:20
And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus: - Eph 2:6
We reside in heaven. We are not of this world. We are citizens of another country - a holy nation, which is Heavenly Jerusalem. We are merely pilgrims passing through the earth. The only reason we are also present on the earth is because of God's purpose for using our bodies. He brought us here to be witnesses of his love and salvation; so that we could be co-labors with Him as He reconciles the lost to Himself. We are familiar with humanity, so we can be intercessors and mediators. Nevertheless, we are not human beings, we are sons of God.
Therefore, the sons of God are a mystery on the earth. They look, white, black, asian, etc; but they are a mystery on the scene. They are not in the flesh, they are in and one with an Omnipresent Spirit. They are spiritual beings in disguise. Therefore, stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage. - Gal 5:1. Say no to racism - for we are all one in the Spirit. Truly, for the sons of God, Black, White, and Yellow are all history.
