Jeremiah 10:23
O Lord, I know that the way of man is not in himself: it is not in man that walketh to direct his steps.
Here at Sunrise with Jesus we are doing a 5 days of fasting, to walk in all the Jesus is. It is a time of sanctification, where we confront our own hearts with the truth of God's word, and yielded ourselves to the will of God. We discussed recently, how that when a fast ends, the same spiritual high one experiences should never end, but should be protected and preserved.
Seeing that we are on day one, I think it is suitable for us to begin with this scripture. The way of man is not in himself. In other words, mankind, whether they believe it or not is always being led by a spirit; whether it be the Spirit of God or the spirit of the devil. Now is a good time to examine who you are being led by.
The first step to change is identification. In this time of fasting, it is good for us to identify what the Lord shows us, that we may change it quickly. Let us be sensitive to the Holy Spirit and yield to what He is saying in this time.
