Jenno is a young man in the church who ministers in music. He recently has been going through a hard time and started to pull away from his brothers and sisters in the church. They have noticed that he hasn't been showing up for rehearsal, and he doesn't take their calls anymore. The rest of the music ministry met and discussed Jenno's spiritual disposition. Time ran out and they forgot to pray for Jenno before the meeting ended. Jenno found out about the discussion and can't recall any of his fellow ministers coming to him personally to check on him. Jenno is hurt and withdraws even further.
In helping Jenno yesterday we learnt about the operation of iniquity. The first phase of iniquity in the scenario above comes from his response to his hard times. So many times we go through things and we do not allow the Holy Spirit to have His way or lead. So instead we do our own thing and down right disobey Him. Hence, when you disobey God in the heart, because the way of a man is not in Himself, he will then be on the devil's turf.
Jenno must first repent in his disobedience, concerning his trial, agree with God and be forgiven. Once the iniquity that separated him from God through disobedience is rectified, Jenno will have the power to walk righteously again.
