I had often heard the term "accuser of the brethren" but I never truly understood what it meant until the Lord showed it to me in a dream. In this dream, I was in a classroom filled with people. Then a tall, strong-looking man came in and everyone knew he was the devil. He began talking and as he spoke, there were some in the room who heard him and went with him. However, those of us who refused, he started to bring up what he thought was our worst fears. He sat across from me and said "you don't like when your mother belittles you. You don't think you deserve that kind of treatment." He thought he had won, but before he could move on I said to him, " you're right. I didn't like it. But that was because of a wrong perspective. I saw her as my mother. But she isn't my mother anymore, I am a child of God! " He was so surprised at my response and I saw that he knew he could not get me so he moved on to the other person. When I woke up the scripture came to me and I really understood what was happening.
And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night. And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony, and they loved not their lives unto the death. Revelation 12:10-11 KJV
As time winds up, the enemy is busy in the church trying to accuse the brethren. He knows that many of us will not willingly sin against our Father so he is subtly trying to discourage us from freely walking in God. But only the word of God is powerful enough to stand against the enemy. We must know and be confident in who we are. A lie can never withstand truth. Truth wins again.
