Women in Ministry Series: A New Creature

Writer: Sunrise with JesusSunrise with Jesus

I am going to attempt to write a truth that is foundational to understanding not just women in ministry, but, all ministry.

2 Corinthians 5:17

Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

The scripture above explains explicitly what it means to be a new creature. It simply means that your soul is in Christ Jesus, via the reception of the Holy Spirit.

This plain truth is something that evades many. However, I will approach it with a question. Tell me the differences between an elephant and a monkey? I bet there was a smirk on your face when you read that, thinking to yourself, “ there are many differences”. Well, you are right. There are so many differences between the two, because they are two different creatures. With these two animals we can use our eyes to see how they differ, but what about differences beyond the eye?

Let me repeat.

Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature:

Is there a difference between a woman who has the Holy Ghost and one who does not? Well, surely you cannot see the differences with your eyes but in truth they are entirely different creatures.

John 3:6

That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.

Above, John lists two different creatures. One is born of flesh, and by the will of flesh. These are normal human beings. However, there are others who are born of and by the Holy Spirit; these are spiritual beings.

The new creature is a spiritual being. This means, that those that have the Holy Spirit have become entirely different creatures than what they once were. They were once children of Adam, but they are now children of God. And if God is a Spirit, can He produce offspring who are not?

Titus 3:5

Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;

When someone receives the Holy Ghost they are regenerated into a spiritual being. This means that these individuals are no longer of the flesh. Nevertheless, they are subjected to human bodies so that they can relate and preach to other people who need the God. This does not negate the fact that they are still different creatures. One is a human being while the other is a spiritual being that is veiled in flesh (1 Cor 15:45-47).

Galatians 3:27-28

For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.

The scripture above describes the new creature the sons of God become. We are all one in Christ Jesus. Our souls have all been placed inside of the same Spirit, and the Spirit has no gender.

The soul of the woman being in Christ is what qualifies her for ministry.

Colossians 3:3

For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God.

Christ is the life in the woman. If Christ is in her, then He should be free to minister through her. He is her anointing! When a Holy Ghost filled woman speaks the word of God it is the man Jesus Christ who speaks through her. Thus, ministry is not performed by the flesh, but by the Spirit of Christ within the flesh. So it does not matter how the flesh looks, whether it is Male, Female, Jew, Gentile, American, Chinese, etc; as long as Christ is in the vessel, ministering through the vessel.

It is Christ who has endowed the woman with the Holy Ghost. He has come to her as a messenger in her flesh that He might continue spreading the good news through her. Woman, be bound no longer to the traditions of men that seek to gag your mouth. Woman, thou art loosed.

We will continue tomorrow.
