Have you ever just totally spaced out and your mind was in a whole other world. Thinking about different things, sometimes about things that affected you deeply. During these times I have often heard people say - "If it wasn't for my mind, I could be holy." However, is the mind really the problem? And Jesus knowing their thoughts said, Wherefore think ye evil in your hearts? - Matt 9:4 The scripture above causes us to know that we actually think in our hearts. Truly we have a brain and a mind, however, they simply interpret into language the impressions of the soul. We can then pair this with the fact that in 1 Cor 2 the Lord told us that He gave us the mind of Christ. So is your mind really the problem? No it isn't, the truth is, all your thoughts come from your soul; and even then your soul is hidden in Christ Jesus the Lord. So you can choose how to think. Think on truth, honesty, justice, purity, lovliness, good reports, virtue, and praise. Glorify God in your mind.
