On the Internet, we see a whole lot of things. But nothing was more memorable as yet than a video I saw of a potato, hooked up with wires and a motor that was using whatever chemicals are inside a potato to charge a battery which would then move it on wheels. It was incredible. Who would have thought that there was a force inside a potato that would allow it to move without being connected to any outside force? This amazed me, but the next day in church, God ministered to me a principle that explained a lot to me.
Ezekiel 36:27
And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them.
Just like that potato, we have been given a force within us called the Holy Spirit which, once inside, will provide its own power to keep God’s commandments and walk in holiness. What a relief! This lets me know that holiness wasn’t intended to be accomplished by the willpower or the body. God promised us a power source that will move us, motivate us, instruct us and cause us to walk as Christ. It is self-sufficient and powerful and it is able to take you places you never thought you could be. Let the Holy Spirit drive today. You’re just a potato.
