Success

Nowadays there are various methods of driving you in your pursuits of success such as seminars, life coaches, and a wide array of inspirational quotes that flood your timeline throughout the day. But today again we will allow the scriptures to make us know what is the truth about success.
Matthew 6:19-21
19 Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal:
20 But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal:
21 For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.
Our time on this earth is but a moment in comparison to eternity. This world and everything in it is corruptible and cannot satisfy a soul that will exist after time has ended. So to ease the frustration, Jesus instructs us to set our affections on things above and not things on this earth (Colossians 3:2). These bodies are God’s and he directs our paths, and everything it takes for His will to be accomplished in these bodies, that's what God makes ways for.
Matthew 6:31-33
31 Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?
32 (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.
33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
Today, let us appreciate how simple life in God is. In His eyes, His boast is that He knows how to take care of his children. If you really look at how your life is now, If you are a child of God there is nothing more you really need. Is there clothes on your body? Do you have a place to sleep? Is food available? I am sure you can say yes, regardless of the way needs are met. Whether it comes from your earnings, or someone else has to help you, it is God who planned out how you are to be provided for. However, in our hearts discontentment is found because our lives don't match up to the man made unwritten rules of prosperity and wealth. But joy comes when we put things in their right perspective.
-This world is not our home (Acts 17:18 For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring.
-God is our Father!
Success in this world is not even worth comparing to what we have as Sons of God! Lift up your eyes. You are of a Kingdom that is not made with mere hands. Encourage someone today that this world is not it; there is far more to be gained than our eyes can see. Look up!
