Have you ever found yourself in a situation or a trial, that you felt was too hard or confusing for you to overcome? If you answered yes, you are not alone. Every day, different people go through different situations, trials, and tribulations, for the trying of their faith. In fact, for the Sons of God, these trials (when suffered righteously) prove we are worthy to enter into the Kingdom of God. Because of this, it is important for us to know how to overcome trials with a pure heart. Believe it or not, it all boils down to this question: Do we believe God?
Proverbs 3:5-6 says, we must trust the Lord with ALL our heart. This means that our entire being, breath, mind, and soul, must be committed to believing and trusting in God. It is our trust in God, that will keep us from walking in presumption. We are presumptuous when our own understanding supersedes God’s word and character. The scripture also tells us to acknowledge Him in all our ways, and He will direct our path. Acknowledge means to know. We must not leave anything to chance, we must always take the time to know the Father, to see what He wants, how He wants it, and when He wants it. We must embrace His ways without controversy. When we fellowship with God, He is able to lead us by His Spirit, according to His perfect will. So, when we are faced with obstacles, we can trust that God has brought us to this point. It is inside of this confidence, that we are able to overcome any trial put before us.
