1 Peter 2:
9 But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light;
I remember going before the Lord on a specific night in prayer, and I was rejoicing at the fact that I was holy for the whole day, and immediately I heard when the Spirit of the Lord said “What else should you be apart from being holy?” The emotion that came with it was as if God didn’t expect me to live any other way, but HOLY.
We need to hold fast to that fact that our nature is totally dissimilar from a sinner. In Colossians 3:10 it states that we are complete in God. Let us not treat Him as if He didn’t do a complete work in us at salvation. He did a marvellous work, He gave us Jesus, the one whose life we are and shall be saved by. We must never agree that sin is our nature, this is far from the truth! Rather, it is when we sin (i.e choosing to go against our conscience) that we live a lie.
