Grace: God's Response to Humility

There you have it! Grace is God’s response to humility. Grace is the influence of God that shines in our lives and impacts others around us. Grace is the power of God that keeps us holy and leads us into all things pertaining to His will. Therefore, if we abide in humility, we are assured to always receive grace.

I cannot stress enough how important of a principle this is. IF YOU WALK IN HUMILITY YOU WILL ALWAYS RECEIVE GRACE FROM THE LORD. Therefore, it is crucial that you maintain a walk of humility, knowing that the excellency of the power is of God and not of us.

Jude 1:24

Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy,

God is able to keep you from ever falling! BELIEVE THIS! It is the working of His Grace that ensures this.

Philippians 2:13

For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.

It is when God operates in you that you will desire to do the Lord’s will. However, you will not just stop at a desire to do His will, but you will also do it.

Ephesians 2:7-10

7 That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus.

8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:

9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.

10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

God reformed us at salvation. He fashioned us inside of the Holy Ghost. This is His workmanship. Our spiritual make-up allows us to have constant access to the power of God. However, grace works not because of our efforts, but it is a gift given to those who believe.

Our humility, (obedience, belief, and agreement) ensures that grace will always work in us.

Philippians 1:6

Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:

Once again it is God who is at work, performing good works in and through us. This is the operation of Grace. However, there is a key point being mentioned here, he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ… What brings assurance of this? How can we be assured that God will continue to work His grace, in us every day until the rapture?

Philippians 2:12-13

12 Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.

13 For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.

We ought to work out our salvation with fear and trembling because it is God who is securing our souls, by working His grace in us. Therefore, our focus should be on motivating Him to work in us. Humility and love will always inspire God to work.

1 Thessalonians 5:23

And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

As said earlier, God is able to keep you until the day of the Lord. He preserves/keeps us by causing us to remain in the fellowship of His Spirit. Fellowship with God is a gift of grace.

There is another point that must be understood if we are to progress even further in this revelation on submission. Remember, it is God that works in us and keeps us until the day of the Lord, therefore, God is ultimately responsible for your progression in Him.

THIS IS A GREAT REVELATION! It isn’t its depth why I call this revelation deep; it is because it is often missed.

It is God who moves us from babe to mature and from ignorance to wisdom. It is God who influences you to walk in the power of your gift. If we do not submit to Him, we will never come to the fullness of God’s desire for us, and our end will be destruction.

Praying daily, studying the Word, listening to sermons, working ministry and giving to the poor does not mean God is working in you! The only reason God will work in you is if you walk in humility, and this humility must be in every area of your life, even towards others.

We will deal with more of this tomorrow.
