Apostolic Order - Part 3

Let's talk about order.

ORDER:

1. the arrangement or disposition of people or things in relation to each other according to a particular sequence, pattern, or method.

2. give an authoritative direction or instruction to do something.

Many times when people hear the terminology of Apostolic Order, they think of a channel of command. Firstly, when they think of an apostle, they think of a person, rather than the gift of Christ. Thus, the next line of thought is this "apostle" is in charge and they must follow them in all things or they will not be considered to be of God. However, this is not the correct perspective.

2 Thessalonians 3:6

Now we command you, brethren, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye withdraw yourselves from every brother that walketh disorderly, and not after the tradition which he received of us.

Indeed, an apostle has received God-given authority, to ensure that the will of God is executed in the church because the words of an apostle must come directly from Jesus Christ. Nevertheless, Apostolic Order, is more focused on the flow of revelation, than of command.

Apostolic Order speaks to the fact that God has set certain gifts in the Body, and if they are not arranged in a proper order they will not operate correctly or to their full potential. Therefore, God has designed a flow of the revelation and wisdom of Christ, and this revelation when received by each part, that part then uses that revelation to accomplish their role.

Acts 2:42

And they continued stedfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers.

So it is less about command and more about arrangement. Let's see this in effect in today's live show.
