Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. - Hebrews 11:1
FAITH IS THE HOLY GHOST.
Substance
The Holy Ghost, is the substance of things we hope for. He is essential to the attaining of the promises of God. Without the Holy Spirit you will never live forever, and you will perish in hell. However, the word 'substance' also speaks to the physical makeup of a thing. Thus, the Holy Spirit is the physical makeup of eternal life. In fact, He is eternal life because He is the Spirit of life! Also, He is that which makes up the new body.
For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens. - 2 Corinthians 5:1
The Holy Ghost is the material used to form the spiritual body. This Body will be our home one day, if we maintain our walk of righteousness, abiding in the commandments of the Lord.
We thank you Lord for giving us all of Yourself that we in the fullness of time may be manifested as your offspring.
Evidence
The Holy Ghost is the evidence of the things we hope for though we have never seen them. God has given us the Holy Spirit within us, which is proof in itself of a Holy God, another Kingdom and the miraculous. Furthermore, the Holy Spirit, witnesses to our spirits the will and word of God. He is the evidence of all the promises of God.
The Holy Ghost, is the first aspect of the promise of God. He promised to the fathers of the Old Testament, that the Spirit would come. However, He also promised that they would be resurrected by the life of Christ. He has given us that life right now through the Holy Spirit. We will one day realize just how eternal this life that we have in Christ is, when we put off this flesh and realize that we still have not died. When this outward man perishes, it will simply reveal the light of life that has been in us all along. We will live forever, and our life is not in our flesh, it is in the Holy Ghost.
The Holy Ghost is our faith that God has given us, He is the faith of Jesus Christ given to all them that believe on Jesus (Rom 3:22). He is the promise fulfilled.
