Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God - 2 Corinthians 5:20
In order to represent someone, there are certain things that you must accomplish as well as ascertain:
1. You must have borne witness that they are who they say they are.
2. You must have an accurate knowledge of the person. This only comes through an experience of the one you are representing.
3. You must acquire facts (truths) about them; which would cause you to know and believe them. These facts must have connected with you in such a way that they arre worth sharing and defending.
4. You must have such an experience with them, that causes you to confidently represent them.
5. You must have a keen understanding and awareness of their feelings and desires.
6. You must have allowed yourself to witness, how they work, how they think and how they feel.
If you do the above is how you will be successful as an Ambassador.
Ye are my witnesses, saith the Lord, and my servant whom I have chosen: that ye may know and believe me, and understand that I am he: before me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after me. I, even I, am the Lord; and beside me there is no saviour. I have declared, and have saved, and I have shewed, when there was no strange god among you: therefore ye are my witnesses, saith the Lord, that I am God. - Isaiah 43:10-12
I used to pride myself in being a Jehovah’s Witness, knocking door to door just believing that I was God’s Witness, yet I had NO knowledge of Him. I did not believe in Him according to scripture and I had no understanding of who He truly was or His purpose in my life. I had a zeal of God, but not according to knowledge.
In the book of Isaiah, God is declaring that we are His witnesses that were chosen firstly, that we may know Him. This means we inquired of Him, we cried out to Him, we sought Him and He answered, making us now aware of Him. Now that He answered us we believe Him, and accept His love, seeing that we are now convinced of Him. We are convinced that before the foundations of the earth He chose us and He loved us so much that He gave His Only Son to die for us! He chose us to know Him! What a privilege and an honour for God Almighty to desire for us to know Him personally and intimately. Knowledge and belief have now brought us to truly understand His heart and His mind, manifesting our oneness with our Father.
As we continue to take the back seat and allow God to work through us, we will witness His power. The more we witness His power is the more we trust Him, and the more we trust Him, the more we understand His ways. As we continue to allow Him to consistently work in our lives we will grow-up gracefully in His wisdom. We will walk seamlessly as He walks. Our lives will bear witness to those who do not yet know Him or believe on Him that there is a God.
As an ambassador, you are the portal to the Kingdom of light. You are the evidence that He is who He says He is. Everyone should know that you can lead them to God because you have shown clearly that you know, believe and understand who He is; in that you allowed Him to live through you! You are His Ambassador because you have witnessed and continue to witness His mighty power!
Ambassadors of Christ, represent!
